‘Family Secrets’ series wins International Emmy Award

Following the series “Kara Sevda” in 2017 and “Şahsiyet” in 2019, the series “Yargı” has now won the Emmy award. Thus, the success of Turkish TV series in the international arena was recognized for the third time.
At the 51st International Emmy Awards organized this year, Ay Yapım’s “Family Secrets (YARGI)” won the award for Best Telenovela.

“FAMILIE SECRET (YARGI)” became the third Turkish series to win an Emmy award after ‘Kara Sevda’ and ‘Şahsiyet’.

“Family Secrets” (YARGI), which was featured at the Emmys under the title “Family Secrets” (YARGI), won the award for Best Telenovela ahead of strong productions ‘Cara e Coragem’ and ‘Pantanal’ from Brazil and ‘Para Semper’ from Portugal.

At the ceremony organized at the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel, hosted by actor and comedian Rhys Darby, this year, 56 productions from 20 countries competed in 14 categories at the International Emmy Awards, given by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to productions produced outside the United States.“Family Secrets” (YARGI) starring Pınar Deniz and Kaan Urgancıoğlu won the Best Telenovela Award.

The Canadian documentary Buffy Saint-Marie won the International Emmy Award for “Arts Programming”.

Martin Freeman, star of the British thriller “The Responder”, won for Best Actor, while Karla Souza, star of the Mexican drama “La Caida”, won for Best Actress.

“Family Secrets” starring Pınar Deniz and Kaan Urgancıoğlu won the Best Telenovela Award.
